Installing Umbrela couldn’t be easier.
Start with Umbrela+, which includes one Umbrela and one Bridge.
Install Umbrela by replacing light switches at the locations of your choosing
Just place the bridge near your internet connection, and plug it in the outlet. Connect the Internet cable to your existing router (this is not required if you do not want to use your smart phone).
Umbrela is versatile and expandable.
You can add Umbrelas or Minis in other parts of the house to increase coverage. You can do this all at once, or over time. As you install the additional units, they automatically become part of the Umbrela network.
Umbrela mini is perfect for locations where you don’t want a camera or don’t care to have an LCD screen, but want access to all the other great features. While it uses the same power module for ease of installation, Umbrela mini has a smaller footprint and covers up to a 3 gang box.

A Growing Family
Umbrela is set for the future. Here are some things to come:
This bridge will replace your existing thermostat and will allow any Umbrela or Mini to control your heating and air conditioning. You will be able to control temperature wherever you are, not where your thermostat used to be.
This will replace your conventional outlet and become part of the Umbrela network, so you can control and manage your power consumption, which helps you to save money and be more power efficient.
This is a lower cost option, with a smaller footprint which allows you to control up to two switches in tight corners.
More software upgradable features
By installing the Umbrela system, you are deploying a network of powerful computers which become a permanent part of your home. Umbrela will increase its capabilities and add more security, safety and health features over time.
